Man and his values 1

Although this reading was very complex, I beleive that Werkmiester was trying to explain the complexity of being a man. He explains that there are so many possible morals, ideals, religious views, or expectations that are to be lived up to. Although his reading was hard to understand at times, I can personally identify with the complexity of having pressures from society. Different people will give you all kinds of advice and guidelines to live you life by. This may be confusing and as individuals we have to determine what we are comfortable with living by. In a sense although this reading may not have been targeted toward women, I can still identify with many of the points that Werkmiester made.
